On January 7, 2021, Bea teased with an Instagram post saying “new mooosic soon.” On January 10, 2021, she said via Instagram stories that “It’s her favorite thing ever”. In a now-deleted post she said “this album might as well be called weed and shrooms tbh.” On January 26, Bea posted on social media that she was looking for people to be a part of her new music video. Bea stated later the lead single would be released in March of 2022. It was released on the 23rd alongside the music video. On March 4, Bea announced her new album, officially titling it Beatopia"
