The steady-paced, melodic country ballad “Choosin’ Texas” sees Ella Langley reflect on a breakup after her man chooses his past in the Lone Star State over their life together in Tennessee. It is a reversal of George Straight’s 1987 song “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.” Langley released the track on October 17, 2025, as the lead single for her sophomore studio album Dandelion. It debuted alongside a lyric video and later received an official music video on April 1, 2026. “Choosin’ Texas” became Langley’s first song to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2026. Seven months later, it achieved 23 non-consecutive weeks atop the chart, breaking Billboard’s all-time record.
