Hybrid Theory is an easy 10/10 for me. There are genuinely no skips on this album, and even the songs I ranked toward the bottom are still songs I really enjoy. What stands out most is just how catchy everything is. Nearly every song has a chorus, lyric, or moment that makes me want to sing along, and it is one of those albums I can throw on in so many situations, especially while driving. The flow from start to finish is incredible too. Papercut immediately sets the tone, One Step Closer keeps the energy going, and then you get songs like Crawling and In the End that have become some of Linkin Park's most iconic tracks. Even with how great those songs are, some of my favorites ended up being tracks that I feel do not get talked about nearly as much. Forgotten was my favorite song on the entire album. The lyrics are incredible, it is ridiculously catchy, and it is another perfect song to blast in the car. A Place for My Head has some of my favorite lyrics on the album, while Pushing Me Away is another standout where the lyrics really hit. Even Cure for the Itch works for me. It has no vocals, but the instrumental is impressive enough that I am always tapping along whenever it comes on. Then the bonus tracks actually add something worthwhile. My December slows everything down and gives the album a different feeling, while High Voltage is almost exactly what comes to mind when I think of nu metal. The lyrics and overall vibe of that song are incredible. My song ratings averaged out to be 9.23/10, with Forgotten, Crawling, and One Step Closer all receiving 10s, but the album as a whole is even better than that average suggests. It is the consistency, flow, replayability, and the fact that I never feel the need to skip anything pushes it to a 10/10. This is already one of my most listened to albums, and I can keep coming back to it without getting tired of it. It is not just my benchmark for a 10/10 album. It might be the best album ever made in my opinion.
